Come and say Hi to us and our handlers……..
On the 2nd and 3rd of April BCUK attended the Dog Lovers Show in Mac’s hometown of Glasgow. The dogs as always were the star attraction and the public loved them all, special thanks to the following for making it all happen:
Here are some pictures from the event:
BCUK were in attendance at Discover Dogs as part of the Crufts event Thursday to Sunday and thanks to the dedication of the clubs members, we managed to keep it manned from 9am-4pm (5pm on the Saturday due to volume of visitors) every single day. A phenomenal effort from all of the following:
With easily one of the busiest stands all our dogs performed impeccably and really put on a show for the adoring public.
One of our members took some video of Discover Dogs and also our dogs in the show ring and has created the following video for you to enjoy. It’s fantastic and shows what a great time we all had!
Have a look at some of our favourite pics:
Following on from the success of Discover Dogs at Crufts the Bergamascos are coming to Scotland (Glasgow) on the 2nd/3rd April. Full details in the image below.
Please come and say hi to us and our handlers!
The Bergamascos are at Discover Dogs on Nov 20th & 21st – come and see us at Excel London, on Stand DD18 and meet Alfie, Bigby, Fiona, Gertie, Storm and Toby.
National Pet Show 2018
The club was delighted to be at the National Pet Show on 3rd and 4th of November. The show is held annually at the NEC in Birmingham and attracts thousands of animal lovers from across the country. We are lucky to be offered a “meet the breeds” stand for free by the show organisers, and it’s a great way to show off the dogs and get the word out about Bergamascos. It was a busy show this year and as usual, the dogs drew a bit of a crowd!
On Saturday, we had Alfie, Toby, Lucca and Elizabetta on show. They were all impeccably behaved and happy to greet everyone who came along. On Sunday, as well as Toby and Mauro we had puppies Fiona (Mauro’s daughter) and Storm. It was the first time we’d had adult and really young dogs together at a show like this, so that made it easier to show people the difference between the adult and the puppy coat. It’s amazing how incredulous people are when you explain how the cute bundle of fluff will turn into a stunning coated adult.
A new feature of the show this year was the canine catwalk. We were invited onto the stage with our
dogs and asked questions by a presenter on front of a crowd. Again it was a great opportunity to show off the dogs and raise awareness of the breed.
On Sunday, we invited a select few “lucky” visitors into the puppy pen to get a bit of a closer view. It was a pleasure to see the pups so beautifully behaved and more than a few people wanted to take one of them home.
The pet show is a great event and we are very grateful to the organisers for the support that they have given us over the years. Everyone in the club is welcome to help out on the stand. It’s a busy, tiring but very enjoyable event and I’d encourage you to sign up for next year if you can.
We’re delighted to announce that once again, BOFF will be at the National Pet Show in Birmingham. The show is the weekend of 5th and 6th November and we will have a stand in the ‘Meet the Breeds’ section of the show.
Please come along if you can make it. It’ll be great to see you.

A fun time was had by all at the 2016 BOFF Open Day. The dogs and their people enjoyed a walk in Cannock Chase before having a picnic lunch. Reyna hosted the AGM where Chris gave an update on the club including news about the breeding program (look out for the minutes soon). We rounded off the day with a fun dog show, with Toby winning best in show!
Enjoy a few photos from the day!
